Westfield, Massachusetts — James “Jimmy” John King 3rd, passed away peacefully after his short battle with cancer at the age of 70 on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He leaves behind his two sons, Jimmy John King Cyr 4th and Christopher Saunders; his brothers, Keith King and Kevin King; his sister, Karen Zucco; brother-in-law, Vinnie Zucco; two grandchildren, Kyle Cyr and Sydney Cyr; and many nieces and nephews. Jimmy was born on July 13, 1949 in Springfield, MA to James King Jr. and Ritorina King where he then later became a lifelong resident of Westfield. Jimmy was a man of life. He never met a rule he couldn’t break, a boundary he couldn’t push, a line he couldn’t cross and a story he couldn’t stretch. Despite his handsome exterior, cutting remarks and stubbornness, there is actual evidence that he was a loving, giving and caring person. Jimmy requested to be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life on a later date where a private memorial service will be held honoring Jimmy by spreading his ashes with his beloved dog, Reece’s.
