Springfield – Jacqueline Louise (Dalla Pozza) Scibelli, 85, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died on August 1, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in France to the late Bruno and Gilda Dalla Pozza on Fevruary 5, 1934. She was raised and educated in Vicenzia Italy. She was employed by Springfield Public Schools as a teacher’s aide for 20 years. Jackie was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, a member of Stella D’Italia, the Italian Cultural Center, Springfield Elks, and the Moose Lodge. Above all she was devoted to her family and was a great cook, who loved preparing her specialties for everyone. She will be remembered for her sense of style and her lively personality. She and her companion Charlie enjoyed dancing and were always the last to leave the party. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years, Victor A. Scibelli; and her sisters, Bruna Herren and Ida Cibinel. She leaves her 3 daughters, Maria Scibelli and her partner Andrew Gillespie of Springfield; Gilda Osbourne and her husband Brad of Wilbraham, and Linda Peck and her husband Bruce also of Wilbraham; her son, Victor Scibelli of Hampden; her 7 grandchildren, Rachel, Garrett, Joseph and his wife Viktoria, Jennifer and her husband Andrew, Samuel, Olivia, and Eva; and 4 great-grandsons, Benjamin, Charles, Damian, and Dante. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, August 8th from 4-7PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Jackie’s funeral will be held on Friday, August 9th from the funeral home at 8:45AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Springfield at 10AM.
