J. Brian Samsell

J. Brian Samsell, 45, of Southwick, passed away peacefully Friday, May 19, 2023.
Born October 12, 1977 in Rockville, CT, he was a son of Elaine Samsell and the late John Samsell. Brian attended Vinyl Tech and Wethersfield High School while graduating from New Britain High School in 1996. Samsell was employed at Stanadyne Corporation as a CNC machinist from 1998-2005.
Brian was passionate about Viking history and Old Norse mythology, and was inspired by heavy metal music. His many tattoos reflected these interests. Samsell was a very loving partner and enjoyed his time on Lake Congamond.
He is survived by his mother Elaine Samsell; brother Keith Samsell; his cat Torvi, and numerous other loving family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 11AM-1PM at Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA with a time of remembrance and reflection beginning at 1PM. A private inurnment will be held in Holy Cross Mausoleum & Cemetery, Glastonbury, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brian’s name to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of American (MSAA), 375 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
