Irene D'Amario

Springfield- Irene (Brodeur) D’Amario, 91, of Wachussett St Springfield MA, passed away peacefully on December 29 2019 at CareOne at Redstone in East Longmeadow MA. Irene was born January 11, 1928 in Springfield MA. The youngest child of Emma (Jacques) and Leo Brodeur. Her brother Leo Brodeur, and sisters Anita Brodeur Lugano and Lucille Gossman predeceased her in death. She graduated from Commerce High School in Springfield MA and worked at Mass Mutual in Springfield. She was married to Henry D’Amario of Springfield in 1946 when he returned from the war. Henry predeceased her in death in 2007. She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law David and Carol D’Amario of Marion SC, son and daughter-in-law Carl and Paula D’Amario of FL, daughter and son-in-law Linda Hart and James Hart of Chicopee MA, grandchildren David D’Amario of Springfield, Nicklaus D’Amario of East Longmeadow, Stephanie Hersog and her husband Tony of FL, Allison Mazzant and Joey of FL, Mark Dunscombe of SC, Melissa Hart of Belchertown, Matthew Hart of Chicopee, and great grandchildren Henry D’Amario, and Blaze and Sunny Herzog of FL. She led an active life raising three children. She and her husband were active in numerous square dance clubs for almost 50 years. On their 25th anniversary they traveled through Europe. They loved to go on vacation to Egypt, Italy, Alaska, Canada, Florida and South Carolina. Her joy was being a mom and housewife while raising her loving family.
