Iola J DeBonis

Agawam – Iola J. (Rosati) DeBonis, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 20, 2020 in a local nursing home. Iola was one of three daughters to the late August and Dirce (Rossi) Rosati. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, social events with friends, playing poker and traveling with her late husband Guido who passed away in 2004. Iola was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
She is survived by her daughter Celeste Holt and her husband William of South Hadley, her son Richard DeBonis and his wife Deborah of Port St. Lucia, FL; her four grandchildren: Erik DeBonis, Mikael DeBonis, Kristine Holt, and Mark Holt; her great-grandchildren: Augustus, Leonardo, Josephine, Justin, Lily, and Jasper and John; her sister Doris Kolvek; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Iola was predeceased by her sister Celestina Hottin.
Services for will be held privately for the family with burial in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Iola’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Attn: Memorials & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or online: www.stjude.org.
