Henriette Jamieson

Henriette Jamieson, 84, passed away on May 10, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Biblingshausen, Wetzlar, Germany on April 6, 1938, she was the daughter of the late George Greishiemer and Margaret (Karrash) Greishiemer.
Henny was very proud of her German heritage. She came to the United States when she was very young in 1957 at the age of 19, and though she happily embraced her new home and citizenship here in the US, she just couldn’t wait to return to her hearts home, Germany. She felt very fortunate to have visited many times throughout her lifetime to stay connected. Henny’s favorite enjoyment was cooking for her husband, kids, and grandkids. Along with cooking she took incredible pride in her beautiful home and enjoyed visiting friends and taking as many trips to the casino as she could make.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by many siblings, as she was 1 of 14 children. To cherish her memory, Henny leaves her loving husband, William J. Jamieson; her children (youngest to oldest) Tony Lapponese, Gina Lapponese and her partner Timothy Morris, Pasquale Lapponese and his wife Lynn, Johnny Singleton and his wife Angela, and Donald Singleton and his partner Denise Robinson; her grandchildren Taryn Hearn and husband Steve, Zachary Lapponese, Rachel Lapponese, Jordan Singleton, Stephanie Singleton, Wesley Singleton and Hannah Morris; her great grandchildren Jackson, Samuel, Owen and Maximillian; her siblings Gunter Greishiemer (Germany,) Otti Gay (Colorado) and Ursula Bijold (Nevada) as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members in Germany and in the US.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 4 – 6:30 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. A service will be held at 6:30 PM.
