Grace P. Radin
May 2, 1934 ~ February 3, 2019 (age 84) 84 Years Old
Radin, Grace, age 84, a peaceful death on February 3rd, 2019 in Agawam, Massachusetts. She resided in Rockland County, NY, for most of her adult years. Born of Ruben and Edith Davidson, sister of Maurice, beloved wife of George, who all pre-deceased her. Survived by her devoted children Josh, Daniel and Rachel. Graduate of Brandeis University and CUNY with a Doctorate in English Literature. An esteemed scholar on the works of Virginia Wolf and author of “Virginia Wolf’s The Years: Evolution of a Novel”. Grace was an English Professor at Rockland Community College and Sarah Lawrence College. A strong advocate for the developmentally disabled and underserved, Grace also spent many years as a key member of the Venture organization in Rockland County, NY. She helped Venture provide housing for many members of the developmentally disabled population. Later she helped middle class families buy their first homes when she headed Affordable Housing in Rockland. She also worked with local church groups to provide assistance to undocumented workers. Grace balanced the demands of raising a family with her passion for serving the community. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Doctors Without Borders or People to People, Inc. of Rockland County. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 16th 2PM at The Nyack Seaport in Nyack, NY.
