Giuditta Onorina Papallo

Giuditta Onorina Papallo, 74, passed away on October 5, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Martone, Province of Reggio Calabria, Italy on May 14, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Natale and Giuseppina (Calvi) Scarano.

For many years, Giuditta worked as a seamstress. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Giorgio Scarano. To cherish her memory, she leaves her husband of 58 years, Raffaele Papallo of Springfield; her children Maria Laura Papallo and Salvatore Papallo of Springfield, Claudio Papallo of East Longmeadow and Josephine Cuoco and her husband John of Springfield; her grandchildren Marco Papallo and Nathan, Bradley and Chloe Cuoco; her siblings Salvatore Scarano and his wife Rosa and Maria Fuda and her husband Vincenzo of Torino, Italy as well as many nieces and nephews both here and in Italy.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 4 – 7 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11 AM at the funeral home followed by committal services at the Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Tinkham Road, Springfield.
