Gerard Francis Magee

East Longmeadow- Gerard Francis Magee, 89, passed away on Friday July 9, 2021 at Cooley-Dickinson Hospital, Northampton. Born in Arlington MA, he was the son of the late John and Gertrude (Reilly) Magee. At 21, Gerard bravely entered the US Army and served as a Corporal during the Korean War. After graduating high school, Gerard went on to graduate from Boston College with a Bachelor’s in Education and taught for many years. He also worked as a bag handler for the U.S. Post Office.
Gerard was predeceased by his wife Noreen (O’Melia) Magee in 2018.
He is survived by his son Christopher Magee of East Longmeadow.
Burial with Military Honors will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam on Friday September 17 at 10:00am.
