SPRINGFIELD- Gary Glen Janeczek, age 58, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 25, 2020 at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester with his cousin Tony and his good friend Angel by his side. He was born November 17, 1961 to Gloria (Gizzo) Kollar and George Janeczek. Gary had a passion for cars, he loved fixing and painting cars and had a wonderful knack for solving problems. Gary enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; chatting with friends and family, watching and cheering on the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his beloved cat, Lily. Gary was loved by so many, anyone that met him liked him instantly. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Gary is survived by his daughter, Bianca Janeczek; granddaughter, Brielle Emma Reyes; sister, Tina Koller-Allen (Frank Allen) ; nephews,Jack, Max and Frankie; sister, Lora Janeczek ; aunt Ann (Gizzo) Hazard; and uncle Tony Gizzo (Terri Gizzo); cousins Antonio Bordoni (Debbie Bordoni) , Victoria Bordoni, Gina Bordoni-Cowley (Peter Cowley); and beloved friend Angel Rivera; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday October 31,2020 , 11:00AM -12:00 noon, in the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. A funeral home service will follow at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, on Tinkham Rd, in Springfield.
