Frank Aniello Daniele

Hartford – Frank Aniello Daniele, 84, passed away peacefully on July 9th at St. Francis Hospital with his family by his side. He was a long time resident of Springfield, where he was born to the late Gennaro and Annunziata (Siciliano) Daniele on August 5, 1932. Frank was proud to wear our nation’s uniform serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War earning the rank of Corporal. He began his working career as a milk man for H. P. Hood and then worked as a furniture refinisher for Country Squire in Agawam from 1963-1970. In 1970 Frank and his brother John were co-founders and owner/operators of Frankie and Johnnie Pizza in Springfield a local landmark for 18 years until 1988. Frank then worked for the city of Springfield Traffic Department until his retirement in 1998. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Concetta (Fonzo) Daniele and their children, Gennaro “Jerry” Daniele and Annuziata “Nancy” Daniele-Hoffman. He was also predeceased by his 2nd wife, Teresa (Ricupero) Daniele; and his brother, Giovanni “John” Daniele. He leaves his daughter, Enza “Cindy” Rinaldi and her husband Joe, and a granddaughter, Ani Izzo all of Hartford, CT; a brother Giuseppe Daniele and his wife Lee of Wilbraham; 3 sisters, Anna “Dolly” Nardi, and Concetta “Tina” Bouniconti both of East Longmeadow, and Maria Daniele and her husband Gaetano of Springfield; 3 Step-daughters, Concetta “Connie” Wierzbowski of Springfield, Tina Garde of Wilbraham, and Pat Letourneau of Springfield; several step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Frank was a loving caring family man who will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to thank the hospice team and medical staff at St. Francis Hospital for their professionalism and kindness. Family and Friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, July 13th from 4-7PM in Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Frank’s funeral will be held on Friday, July 14th from the funeral home at 8:45AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Springfield at 10AM.
