Frank W. Bell Jr.

Southwick – Frank William Bell Jr., 80, died on March 30, 2019 at his home. He was born in Westfield to the late Frank William Bell Sr. and Eileen Mary (Carlin) Bell. He graduated from Springfield Technical High School in 1957 and went on to further his education at Rhode Island School of Design graduating with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Architectural Design in 1961. He was a licensed architect in MA and CT at Russell, Gibson and Von Dohlen in Farmington for 20 years, at Jeter, Cook and Jepson in Hartford for 10 years and retired from Mt. Vernon Group in Winchester after 10 years. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Longmeadow. Frank enjoyed car shows and going to the races at Limerock, CT. He will be greatly missed for his empathetic demeanor and his kind and gentle ways. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 25 years, Regina (Scully) Bell, his brother, Jim Bell; his brother-in-law, Joe Scully; and his niece, Colleen. He leaves his son, Kevin and wife Rebecca; his daughter Jennifer Bell; his brother-in-law, Jim Scully and wife Marion; his sisters-in-law, Terri Donovan and husband Joe, and Peg Bell; many nieces and nephews; and his loyal companion, Snickers. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 5th from 4-7PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Frank’s funeral will be held on Monday, May 6th from the funeral home at 8:45AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Longmeadow at 10AM. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield.
