Francesca "Fran" Danieli

Springfield – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Francesca “Fran” Danieli announces her passing on January 5, 2022. Fran was born in Aversa, Italy and was one of eight children to her parents, Salvatore and Nunziata (Mercurio) DelPiano. Fran came to this country at twenty, shortly after married Vincent, an Italian American GI, and raised her family in the Forest Park area of Springfield. She enjoyed her Italian heritage of cooking and family time. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and sister.
Fran was predeceased by her beloved husband Vincent A. Danieli, her son Vincent R. Danieli, and her sister Rose DelPiano. She leaves to cherish her memory her son John Danieli and his wife Theresa of N. Easton MA, her grandsons John and Michael Danieli, her sister-in-law Jenny Danieli, her brothers and sisters in Italy, and many nieces and nephews in the Springfield area and in Italy.
Fran’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of her caregivers, home health aides, CNAs and nurses who were so kind to her in her last years.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday January 13, 2022 from 4-7pm in Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation on 220 N. Main St. in East Longmeadow. Her funeral service will be on Friday January 14, 2022 at 11:00am in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Saint Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in Springfield.
