Ethel M. Dunn

Ethel M (Hendry) Dunn, 93, a resident of this town since 1950, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late William H. Dunn. Daughter of the late Leland and Daisy (Irwin) Hendry. She was a graduate of the former Commerce High School in Springfield. Ethel had worked many jobs during her lifetime with her last being at Big Y in Southwick before her retirement. Also, with her late husband they owned Mt. View Arabian Farm in Southwick. Ethel was a loyal member of the Pioneer Valley Baptist Church of Westfield. She is survived by her sons William “Lee” Dunn of Arizona, Laurence Dunn, who was also her caretaker of Southwick, Harry Dunn of Granville, daughters Bonnie Norris of Arizona and Diane and her husband Chris Orlando of Plainfield, CT. Daughter-in-laws Phyllis Dunn of West Suffield, CT, Deborah Dunn of Southwick and beloved Aunt by many. Ethel’s extensive family also included 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her children Edward Dunn, Robert Dunn and Patti Scuderi. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:30AM at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will begin Saturday, July 25 at 9:30 at the funeral home prior to the service.
