Edward “Frenchy” Marcoux, 86, passed away peacefully at his home on November 8, 2017. He was the devoted husband of over 40 years to Carol (Jamroz) Marcoux. Born in Montreal, Canada he was a son of the late Edward J. and Marie-Ange (Rioux) Marcoux.
He was an honorably discharged U. S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.
“Frenchy” was a resident of Feeding Hills for over 40 years. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Prior to his retirement “Frenchy” was employed in the Automotive Industry for over 50 years. He’s remembered as the “Body Shop Manager” at Sarat Ford. He was an avid golfer and loved anything to do with cars.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son Edward J. Marcoux in 2014; a sister and her husband Pauline and Jacques Leprohon; and a brother Lawrence Marcoux and his wife Ellen. Besides his wife “Frenchy” is survived by his loving family, a loving brother Guy Marcoux and his wife Evy; a son and daughter in law, Timothy E. and Elizabeth Marcoux of Katonah, NY; a daughter and son in law, Denise and Peter Kraatz of Truckee, CA; 4 adored grandchildren, Timothy E. Marcoux II and his wife Breanne, David R. Marcoux, Andrew S. Kraatz, Lucas D. Kraatz; one cherished great grandson Nathen Marcoux; along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12th from 3-6 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam.
Everyone is asked to meet DIRECTLY at Sacred Heart Parish, 1065 Springfield St., Feeding Hills on Monday, November 13th at 1:00 PM for Frenchy’s Funeral Mass. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
