Dororthy Robinson

Dorothy E (Dion) Robinson, 93, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late William H and Genevieve (Murray) Dion. She was predeceased by her husband Warren A (Robbie) Robinson, her daughter Linda LaBier, and her sons-in-law Melvin Schwartz, and Bruce Kendall, her brother Donald Dion and her sister Ruth Vezina. She leaves her beloved family, son William Robinson and his wife Denise of East Longmeadow, daughters Alice Pina and her husband Antonio of Ludlow, Dorothy Schwartz of Agawam, Gail Kendall of Mount Juliet, TN, 12 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, 9 Great-Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She with her husband owned Country Corners Restaurant in East Longmeadow for 20 years until his passing. She was a bus driver for Longueil transportation and retired at the age of 75 from the Smith & Wesson retail store. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and giving them a lifetime of wonderful memories, which we will cherish forever. She also enjoyed reading, camping, quilting and playing cards with her friends at the Agawam Senior Center, and Knight of Columbus in West Springfield. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8th from 4-7 PM at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. Her Funeral will take place on Friday, February 9th at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in East Longmeadow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “The Friends of the Agawam Senior Center”, 954 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
