Donna "Phoenix" Carter

Springfield – Donna T. “Donzie” Carter, unexpectedly passed away November 3, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center with family by her side. Her welcoming personality, dedication to the Caribbean Community, ability to make everyone smile, and creativity will be missed. She emigrated from Trinidad, and was proud of her heritage and was driven to share it and her warm spirit with others. She owned Phoenix Cultural, which has been a pillar in the community for several decades. She will sadly be missed by many, including her husband Kirby, her children: Kirdon and his wife Jill, Kyron and his wife Grayce, Keidi and her husband Adrian; seven siblings: Arthur, Paul, Wayne, Jennifer, Grace, Marcelin, and Lystra; and her adored grandson AJ.
Services for Donna will begin with visiting hours on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 4:00-6:00pm with a celebration of her life at 6:00pm at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation on 220 N.
