Dolores V Oliveri

East Longmeadow – Dolores Viola (Dunia) Oliveri, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria (Luci) Dunia. She graduated from the High School of Commerce in 1950. Dolores was employed as a cafeteria worker in the Longmeadow and Springfield School Systems for a total of 22 years. She played the organ and enjoyed traveling the New England area with her husband Enrico. Most of all she loved family time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed for her bubbly personality and her kind generous ways. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Eleanor Ortona and Eva Dunia; and her brothers, Dominic, Antonio, and Frank Dunia. She leaves her loving husband of 66 years, Enrico J. Oliveri; her sons, Enrico E. Oliveri and his wife Renee of East Longmeadow, and Ronald Oliveri and his wife Martha of Williamsburg, VA; her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Villamaino and her husband Anthony of East Longmeadow; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly Conant and her husband Joseph, Nathan Oliveri and his wife Brie, Adam Oliveri and his wife Maria, Natalie Burack and her husband Greg, Thomas Villamaino and his wife Laura, Susan Mantoni and her husband David, Joseph Oliveri and his wife Katie Crytzer, and Jane Rhodes and her husband Sam; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Josephine Stewart of Michigan, and Catherine Scavone of Longmeadow; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 1st from 4-7PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Dolores’s funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2nd from the funeral home at 8:45AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, East Longmeadow at 10AM.
