September 5, 1952 ~ August 1, 2019 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Obituary

FEEDING HILLS – Diane M. (Ouellette) Musa, 66, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center. Born on September 5, 1952 in Ludlow, MA to Theresa C. (Syriac) Ouellette and the late Emile J. Ouellette.

She received her Associate’s Degree in Cosmetology from Springfield Technical Community College and for 20 years, Diane worked as a bus driver for the Agawam Public Schools, where numerous children grew to love her. It remains Agawam legend when Diane “MaMoose” drove the school bus for her sons and their friends on prom night! She quickly also became a legend and adored as a scheduler for Catuogno Court Reporting; playing pranks like leaving wind up teeth on her co-workers desk, dressing up like Urkel for Halloween and maybe using her colorful language a bit too freely, forgetting sometimes to “Reel it in”.

Diane was a dedicated and proud mother. She treasured her two sons and supported them in everything. From always calling after a motocross race, to sporting Aaron’s company gear, to always bringing Jeremy ice coffees on post 5, to making sure they never went without a home cooked meal, and so much more. She loved spending time at Wells Beach in Maine, lighthouses and everything about the ocean. She cared for animals, especially dogs, all her life. She also was an avid New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan. Most of all, Diane enjoyed her roles as Auntie and Gram.

She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere and was never shy about talking to anyone about anything. Everyone who knew and met her felt her amazing authenticity, generosity of spirit, pure love and acceptance.

To cherish her memory, Diane leaves her sons Aaron Musa and his wife Kimberly of Westfield and Jeremy Musa and his wife Lauren of Agawam; her grandchildren Garrett “the love of her life and best friend”, Jase “Crazy Baby” and Maddox “Little Angel”; her former husband Ernest Musa of Feeding Hills who loved her dearly; her mother Theresa Ouellette of Ludlow; her nieces and nephews Mikayla and Kelsey, Jamie, Greg and Ryan; as well as her siblings Constance Cramton, Keith and wife Diane, Mark and Rick Ouellette; beloved lifelong friend Terry Blanchard and family.

The lives Diane touched are too numerous to count and her effervescent presence along with that signature, boisterous laugh and “snort” will be forever missed and in our hearts.

To honor and celebrate Diane’s life, family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 4 - 7 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 985 Main Street, Agawam followed by a service at 7 PM.
