Diane Higgins

Springfield- Diane L. Higgins, 66, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was a daughter of the late Raymond and Marguerite (Carbone) Montagna. Diane was a graduate of Classical High School, American International College, and Connecticut Culinary Institute. Diane worked for several years at the YWCA in East Longmeadow as a chef, but she was most proud of being a mother and a caregiver to her beloved granddaughters. In her spare time, Diane enjoyed going to flea markets, museums, and the library. She also loved watching cooking shows and trying out new recipes for her family. She will be missed by her daughters Melissa Higgins and her husband Matthew Lincoln of Boston, MA, Alyson Pirio and her husband Yann of Atlanta, GA, granddaughters Delphine and Nolwenn Pirio, her longtime friend Al Bonafilia, her sisters Gail Barnett and her husband Jeff, and Marilyn Montagna, her nieces, grand nieces, and nephew. Funeral services will be held privately and a memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to YWCA Western Massachusetts.
