Delores Eileen Michalik

Longmeadow- Delores Eileen (Pontious) Michalik, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 28, 2019. She was born in Ford City PA on June 3, 1926 to the late Rexford Pontious and Rose (Baynor) Koll. She graduated from Ford City High School and moved to Longmeadow MA. She was active in the community and volunteered at the Longmeadow High School for many years when her children were younger. She was an active parishioner at the St. Marys Parish in Longmeadow and was a member of the Altar Society. She was an avid gardener, and her favorite past time was spending it with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years Karl J. Michalik Sr. and her daughter Marsha Glasson. She leaves behind her son Karl J. Michalik Jr. and his wife Lindsey of Longmeadow; her daughters Linda Michalik of Seattle WA, Barbara Leone and her husband Dominick of Longmeadow, Maureen Michalik of Swampscott, and Melissa Michalik of Ellington, CT; 4 grandchildren Michael, Steven, Kordelia and Trey; 1 great grandson Grant, and nieces and nephews and extended family. Services will be held privately by the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Delores’s name to the MSPCA 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
