Delmore Bourassa

Delmore O. Bourassa, age 79 passed away on May 12, 2020 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Delmore and Genevive Bourassa. Del retired after 30 years from Sweet Life Foods. He later worked 10 years part time at Nobel Hospital, while volunteering countless hours at JGS Lifecare (formerly Jewish Geriatric Services) in Longmeadow, MA. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, the Boston red Sox and enjoyed watching boxing and car shows. He was a caring father and grandfather who loved  being part of his grandchildren’s lives and activities. Delmore was predeceased by his wife of 59 years Elizabeth, his brother Paul Bourassa of West Springfield and Sister Linda Piela of Chicopee. He was the loving father of Joseph (Elizabeth) Bourassa of West Springfield. The proud grandfather of Tiffany (Joshua) Peloquin of Simpsonville, SC, Joseph Jr. (Alisha) Bourassa, of Durham, CT and Briana (Brennan) Duncan of West Springfield, MA. Delmore also leaves his cherished Great-grandchildren Torri and Daisy. He is survived by his sister Kathy Hamborg of West Springfield, MA, many nieces, nephews relatives and his close friend of 50 years Richard Perrault of Southwick, MA. Del will be fondly remembered for his humor, generosity and the love he had for his family and friends.
