SPRINGFIELD- Delmon Lewis age 80, beloved husband of Ethel D. (Jennette) Lewis, passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness.
Born in Louisburg, N.C.he was a son of the late James and Juanita (Mitchell) Lewis. He was the father of the late Nathan Lewis; and brother of the late Gladys Sypher and Carol Clifton.Delmon was a resident of the area for 55 years. He was employed as a machine operator for the former Uniroyal Tire Plant, Chicopee. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, College Square Congregation. He enjoyed deep sea fishing in his spare time. In addition to his wife, Delmon leaves 3 brothers, James Lewis of Louisburg, NC, Joe Lewis of Youngsville, NC, Kenneth Lewis of Louisburg, NC; 2 sisters, Fannie Ashton of Maryland , Barbara Nicholson of Louisburg, NC ; and one grandchild.
