David G. Rock

On August 1, 2022, David G. Rock of Springfield, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 7, 1951, the beloved son of the late Ernest and Lorraine Rock of Chicopee, MA. For the majority of his career, David was in management for several textile industries in Massachusetts. David was an avid sports fan, attending many of the Boston Teams home games. He was a die-hard New England Patriots fan. He had a special place in his heart for OOB, ME, spending yearly family vacations at the Reggio cottage. David leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Anderson Rock; his beloved children, daughter Jessie Anderson Souter and her husband Bill Souter of OOB, ME and son Gregory Anderson Rock of Chicopee, MA and grandson Ethan David Wickham of OOB, ME. He was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Robert Rock and Kenneth Rock. He leaves behind his brother Richard Rock & his wife Denise and sister-in-laws Nancy Rock and Debbie Rock and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and good friends. Also, David will be sadly missed by his 4 devoted dogs. Everyone who knew David is asked to celebrate his life in their own way. All services are private.
