Cora P. Baker Duquette

Cora P. (Duquette) Baker Duquette, 91, Ascended into the Journey of Everlasting Life, on June 25, 2017. She was predeceased by her husbands, Louis E. Duquette in 1979; and Raymond E. Baker in 1972. Born in Springfield, a daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Gagne) Duquette, she was a resident of East Longmeadow over 60 years and was a parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Springfield. Cora retired in 1986 after 44 years of employment from American Bosch. She was a member of the American Bosch Retirees, the St. Paul’s Ladies Guild, past Eucharistic Minister to the East Longmeadow Nursing Home for 11 years; REC Team at the Springfield and Ludlow Jails, and a Deanery Board Member. She leaves her brother, Albert Duquette of Indian Orchard and her sister in law, Eleanor Duquette of Ludlow along with many nieces and nephews so dear to her.  Besides her parents and husbands, Cora was predeceased by her  siblings:  Damase Duquette, Laura Sandborn, Jeanette Carter, Yvonne Pieczarka, Charles Duquette, Lydia Decorie, Lionel Duquette,  Alfred Duquette, Theodore Tetreaut. Stella Crespeau, and Nellie Guyuette.   Cora will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  Funeral services will be held at 9:00am Tuesday  July 11, 2017 from the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, followed by  a 10:00AM   Liturgy of Christian Burial , in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 235 Dwight Road, Springfield. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Indian Orchard.  Calling hours will take place from     4:00PM – 8:00 PM on Monday July 10, 2017.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Church, 235 Dwight Road, Springfield, MA 01108 or to the East Longmeadow Police Dept., 160 Somers Road, East Longmeadow, MA 01028.
