Springfield- Clinton “Tiger” L. Jones, 88, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Monday, October 28, 2019. He was born in Blackfoot Idaho, the son of the late Leonard Jones and Marion Craig Palmer. Tiger bravely joined the military during the Korean War, and after being stationed in Westover, he moved to Springfield. He loved watching the Red Sox play, and he enjoyed spending time with family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years Antoinette (Ricapito), and many brothers and sisters. He will be deeply missed by his children Mary Barnett and her husband Larry of East Longmeadow, Steven L. Jones and his wife Elizabeth of Wilbraham, Ann Lori Jones and her partner John Liquore of West Springfield, and Clinton “Gino” L. Jones, Jr. and his wife Ann of Springfield; his 8 grandchildren Maria O’Brien and her husband Jed, Sarah Barnett and her spouse Sara Roper, Anthony Jones, Amanda Jones, Dawn Wondolowksi and her husband Steven, Richard Jones Jr. and his wife Nicole, Steven Jones, and Kimberly Hyde and her husband Ken; 13 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law Patricia Quinn; his lifetime best friend Teddy Gingras; and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. The family would like to thank all the caring staff at Mercy Medical for their care and support of Tiger. Calling hours for Tiger will be held on Sunday November 3, 2019 from 2-5pm in the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 N. Main Street, East Longmeadow. A funeral service will be held on Monday November 4, 2019 at the funeral home at 9:45am followed by a burial in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
