August 20, 1927 ~ August 27, 2019 (age 92) 92 Years Old
SPRINGFIELD – Charlotte M. Dinoia, 92, passed away on August 27, 2019 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield, MA on August 20, 1927 to the late Edward and Charlotte A. (Brady) Sullivan.
Charlotte graduated from Cathedral High School, Class of 1944. Before starting a family, she had worked at Merriam-Webster and then as a medical secretary and medical assistant.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Springfield where she was very involved as a member of the Women’s Club and Choir and where she participated in variety shows. She was also involved in Girl Scouts and was a Hockey Mom.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Dominic J. Dinoia who passed away September 30, 2015, Charlotte leaves her children, Lottie (Charlotte) Dinoia and her life partner Robert Bruscoe and his son Eric and Stefanie Dinoia all of Springfield, Dominic E. Dinoia and his wife Myra of East Longmeadow, and Rose Dunbar and her husband Scott of Wilbraham; grandchildren, Scott, Dominic and Daniela; her granddogs Nick and Molly; a sister-in-law, Julia Dinoia as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Baystate VNA, Life Care of Wilbraham and Beacon Hospice for their compassion and loving care of Charlotte.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 8:30 – 10 AM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Allen Street, Springfield. Committal services will be at 1 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
