Obituary

Charles W Clark, 80, of Springfield MA, peacefully passed away on July 1st 2019. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years Cheryl Clark. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Emily Clark, and his brother, Dennis Clark. Lovingly remembered by his daughters Patricia Clark and Michele Frangie and her husband Matt, as well as brother Jay Clark, sister Sandra Whiston, brother in law David Sanderson, his grandchildren Dillon, Genesis, Emily and Sean, and his great grandchild Liam. Charles, a US Army Veteran, served in Berlin, Korea, Vietnam and Germany. He also served in posts in Kansas, Washington, Alaska, Georgia, Kentucky, California and Michigan. He earned 3 Bronze Stars, 5 Meritorious Service Medals, 2 Army Commendation Medals, a Vietnam Cross for Gallantry with Palm, and a Combat Infantry badge. Following his military service, worked in information services and retired from Dana Farber Cancer Institute in 1999. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 11th from 4pm-7pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St, Agawam, MA. Catholic Services will be held on Friday July 12th at 11:30am from the funeral home followed by a military service in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St, Agawam, MA.
