Obituary

Feeding Hills – Charles Everett Brantley passed from this life on June 23, 2020 at his home in Feeding Hills MA. He was born in Charlotte, NC and was the son of the late John and Eloise Brantley. Charlie was married to he beloved wife Judith (DelBarba) Brantley in 1959 in St. John the Evangelist Church in Agawam, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Bette Armstrong of Belmont, NC. He was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. He was employed by Hamilton Standard, Windsor Lock, CT, in the Mechanical Engineering Drafting Division for 36 years and retired in 1993. Charlie and Judy started their family in Agawam and in 1969 moved to Feeding Hills. He enjoyed tennis, classic cars and HO railroad modeling. He was a long time member of the old Agawam Jaycees being elected local President, State Vice President and US National Director. He was President of the Agawam Youth Association when they established the first Drug Rehab Facility and the first Youth Center. He was honored with the Massachusetts Jaycees Membership and the Agawam Man of the Year. He is survived by his beloved daughters; Wendyann Davis and her husband Todd, Kimberly Leigh Brantley and her husband Timothy Sheehan, and Jennifer Masone and her husband Antonio. He leaves three cherished grandchildren; Whitney, Alessandra and Thomas and great-granddaughter Elliana and great grandson Rickee. He also leaves brother-in-law Richard DelBarba and his wife Rae and sister-in-law Grace Greski and her husband Leonard, and his nephew Eddie Pettus. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 30, 2020 from 9am-12pm in Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam MA. A funeral service will follow at 12pm. Burial is in Springfield Street Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charlie’s name may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th Street, N.W.
