Carol L. D'Haene

East Longmeadow - Carol Lee (Sly) D’Haene 87, passed away on May 18, 2019.

Born on November 2, 1931 in Detroit, MI, Carol was a resident of the greater Springfield area for over 50 years.

Carol raised five children and then began a career as a Buyer/Manager for the Ladies Department at the former Yale-Genton Inc., West Springfield, where she became a fashion icon whose style advice and guidance was highly regarded.

Carol was predeceased by her twin sons, Barry D’Haene (1990) and James D’Haene (2018), a son-in-law, Leonard Rosow (2018), and her former husband, Hank D’Haene (1992).

She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Dreher, of White Plains, NY, Susan Rosow, of Jupiter, FL, Nancy Kosakowski and her husband Richard, of East Longmeadow; four grandchildren, Jennifer Dreher, Kelsey Johnson and husband Tim, Sheryl Kosakowski, Jake Rosow; six great grandchildren, Rice, Anna, Owen, Quinn, Radek, and Juliette.

The family will gather and receive friends from 10:00AM – 11:00AM on Friday May 24, 2019 in the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, with a funeral home service at 11:00AM.

Burial will follow in Longmeadow Cemetery, 34 Williams St., Longmeadow.
