Carmine Joseph Lemme Jr.

Springfield- Carmine “Joe” Lemme Jr., age 72, passed away on May 27, 2021.
He was born in Springfield on June 19, 1948 to Carmine Joseph Lemme Sr. and Frances (Ferreri) Lemme. Taught and encouraged by his father, Joe was a musician of many instruments and played and performed from a young age. Joe served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service, Joe became a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor and worked as a self-employed builder. Throughout his life, Joe took pleasure in playing music professionally but especially for friends and family, fixing up and trading collector cars, and caring for and tending to all animals. His humor was contagious, and his love for his friends and family was felt by all. He is survived by his life partner Sylvia M. Santucci and survived by his son Jonathan Carmine Lemme and his partner Bessy Hicks, a sister, Julie Tyminski; nephew, Mark Tyminski and finance Elizabeth Goncalves, niece Lisa Moriarty and her husband Kevin, great niece Sarah Moriarty, and predeceased by his son Jeremy Lemme.Family and friends may gather on Thursday June 3, 2021 at 1:00-3:00PM in the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 220 North Main St. East Longmeadow.
