Carl “Albert” Moses, 84, passed away on June 20, 2020 surrounded his loving family at his home. Born in Springfield, MA on February 1, 1936 to the late Mohammed and Fatima (Moses) Moses, he graduated from Springfield Technical High School. For many years, Carl owned and operated Acme Auto Body in Springfield, retiring in 1995. He had previously owned Lincoln Hall in Springfield as well. He was a member of the Boys Club in Springfield and the Islamic Center of Western Massachusetts in West Springfield. As an avid golfer, he was a member of the Veterans Memorial Golf Course in Springfield and Ludlow Country Club. He also enjoyed the casino, being on Misquamicut Beach, boxing and Saratoga Rocaing and vegetable gardening. Most of all, he loved his family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Abraham, Hassan, Joseph, Sam, Carl, Errol and James Moses and his sisters Mary, Rose, Jamellia, and Carma. To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving and devoted wife, Beverly A. (Kane) of Springfield; his children Nicholas Moses and his wife Andrea of Montgomery, MA and Carl Moses and his wife Dawn of Myrtle Beach, SC and Maria Scibelli of Agawam; his grandchildren Alexa Scibelli and her fiancé Thomas Capobianco, Jude Scibelli, Hunter, Jordan, Nicholas and Montgomery Moses; his brother Arthur Moses and his wife Betty of Longmeadow; his several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law Patricia Kane of Springfield; his sisters-in-law Charlene Pilon of Agawam, Lorrie Higgins and her husband Jon of Southwick and Nancy Tetreault and her husband Francis of Enfield; former sisters-in-laws; as well as his former wife Antoinette Pioggia. Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 6 – 8 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA followed by a service at 8 PM.
