Butler and Mary Harland

Butler and Mary Harland, both 92, were married for 69 years.  They shared a wonderful life together.  Butler had his business B.J. Harland Electric in East Longmeadow for 34 years through the IBEW Local 7.  Mary was a gourmet cook and self-taught artist.  They both loved travel, golf, bridge, theater and spending time with their many family and friends.  They leave behind their daughter Cathy Sanders (Steve) of Eastham; son Jim Harland (Alison) of Somers; grandchildren Daniel Cimini, Rebecca Kavey (Brenden), Allyssa, Elizabeth and James Harland; great-grandchildren Greyson and Shephard Kavey.  In addition, Mary leaves her sister Helen Broska and Butler leaves his sister Alice Chapin; brother Bernard Harland; sister-in-law Nancy Harland and sister Rea Perrault (Roger).  Any donations may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, 577 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.  A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.  Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, East Longmeadow has been entrusted with arrangements.  For online condolences visit www.forastiere.com.
