West Springfield – Burton George Case, 76, passed away after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Springfield, Westfield, Hampden, Chicopee and more recently, West Springfield. He was the son of the late Thyra (Zackerson) Case and George M. Case of Springfield. Burt leaves to cherish his memory, his special friend Darlene Campagna, his ex-wives Rosemary Santanello and Deborah Smith, his stepdaughter Cheri (Burke) Harris and granddaughter Brooke Harris, and his friends, Janette and Tony Davis, and many other close friends. He was predeceased by his brother Wesley A. Case and his stepson Sean P. Burke. He was a Journeyman Pattern Maker at New England Pattern Foundry in Springfield. He owned Case Contraction Company and was construction manager for Peter Pan Bus Company. He retired in 2001. Burt will be remembered for his gentle, kind and generous heart. He was a true gentleman, who took care of everyone around him, including his many employees, his close friends and family. He was always willing to help anyone in need, and even during his long illness, was gracious and thankful to everyone. His care is entrusted to Forastiere Family Funeral & Cremation and his funeral is private.
