Bradford John Bolton

Bradford Bolton, 60, died surrounded by his loving family on May 24, 2023 after a brave but short battle with cancer.
Brad was a bright light to his family and friends. He was caring and thoughtful, humble, kind, friendly and generous. He was always there with a helping hand at work and at home. He had a huge heart for his family, and he was so proud of his kids. He was known as the best husband, dad, and friend in the whole world.
Brad was born in Freeport NY on May 9, 1963. After graduating Brentwood Sonderling HS, he bravely entered into the US Navy. He was stationed at the Naval Hospital in Newport RI, where he met his soulmate Lynn. They settled in Western MA and raised two beautiful children. Together, his family vacationed in Newport and in Florida. He coached youth basketball and baseball in town for a number of years. He was an avid UMASS basketball fan and loved to watch the Red Sox with Dominic and the Bruins with Sara. Brad worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for various medical centers, and worked most recently at Holyoke Medical Center.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Lynn Bolton, his son Dominic Bolton, his daughter Sara Bolton, his parents Daniel Bolton and his step-mother Rosemary Bolton, his mother Vera (Scalisi) Bolton, his sisters Marie Drumm and her husband Frank and Danielle Sweeney and her husband Michael, his brother Michael Bolton, his in-laws Carl and Janice Fortin, his brother-in-law Brian Fortin, and many nieces, nephews and extended family in FL. He also leaves behind his best friend, Scott Livingstone, who was a big part of his life.
A celebration of Brad’s life will start on Monday June 5, 2023 with calling hours from 10:00am – 12:00pm in Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 N Main St., East Longmeadow MA. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial with Military Honors will be at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam at 2:00pm.
