Armand M. Roy

WEST SUFFIELD – Armand M. Roy, 81, passed away on October 8, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, MA on November 12, 1938, he was the son of the late Welly and Emma (Roy) Roy.
Armand had worked as a self-employed real estate developer for many years. He loved spending time on his boat on the lake and wintering in Florida. He also was a longtime member of the Chicopee Elks Lodge #1849.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Theresa M. (Scanlon) Roy who passed away in December, 2000 and his brothers Leopold and Leonard Roy. To cherish his memory Armand leaves, his wife Michele (Dugre) Roy; his daughter Gina M. Roy; his son John A. Roy and his wife Debbie; his daughter Julie D. Wood and her husband Richard; his grandchildren Brendan and Jamie Wood; his step-children Christina Trudeau and her husband Jonathan, Melissa Mariani and her husband Marc, Nicholas Corey and his wife Tabbatha and Elizabeth Hall and her husband Josh; his step-grandchildren Sadie and Charlie Trudeau, Tanner, Liam, and Jax Corey and Adrianna Hall as well as his sisters Lillian Gendron, Irene Levesque and Annette Levesque and her husband Norman.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 2 – 4 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 beginning at 9:45 AM at the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hill Street, Suffield, CT. Masks and social distancing required while attending services.
