March 24, 1945 ~ December 2, 2022 (age 77) 77 Years Old
Armand Carlo Rea, 77, one of the greatest husbands, fathers, papas, brothers and friends of all time, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind the love of his life, Arlene G. Rea, of 54 years. A resident of Agawam, MA for more than 50 years, Armand was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on March 24, 1945. He attended Attleboro and King Philip High Schools and graduated from Western New England College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He served four years in the United States Air Force. He was employed at Baystate Medical Center and Springfield College as Operations Manager of Environmental Services before his retirement. Armand loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh too. His greatest accomplishment was how much he loved his family. He is survived by his wife Arlene, daughter, Tricia Rea-Dobis and son-in-law, Jason Dobis, and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Arlene, Jonathan Armand David and Kathryn Althea. He also leaves his beloved brother James C. Todaro and his brother-in-law Frank M. Vacirca and his great niece Georgia Vacirca. Funeral services for Armand will be held Wednesday, December 7th at 9:30am at Colonial Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA with calling hours prior from 9-9:30AM. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. For online condolences visit www.forastiere.com.
