An avid fan of all sports teams New England, Anthony Joseph Vivenzio will be remembered for his love of the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, Patriots and being a man brought up in the 1980’s, of course, the Dallas Cowboys and hairbands. Tony’s gentle demeanor, kind personality and his hard work ethic will be missed. Tony sadly passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born in Springfield and is the son of Valentino and Barbara Vivenzio. He was a graduate of Agawam High School. He was dedicated to his job as Supervisor for Industrial Laundry at Standard Uniform/Unifirst, where he worked for over 20 years. He is survived by his loving mother Barbara (Schroeder) Vivenzio; his two brothers James and Carl Vivenzio; his niece Ashley Vivenzio and nephew Alex Vivenzio; two uncles Ronald and Mark Colonna; cousins Francesca and Brianne Colonna; and many cherished extended family. He was predeceased by his adored father Valentino J. Vivenzio in 2012. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation on 985 Main Street in Agawam. The funeral will be on Friday, August 11, 2017, beginning with a visiting hour from 9:00-10:00am, with the service starting promptly at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield.
