Springfield- Anthony A. Heropoulos, 90, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 18, 2019. Born June 18, 1928 in Canton, Ohio, he was son to the late Anast and Evanthia (Mountyglou) Heropoulos. After High School he enlisted in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was stationed in Alaska. Upon being honorably discharged, he moved to Miami, FL, attending the University of Miami and graduating with a BA in Business Administration. In 1958 he met the love of his life Ann (Katseoris). They were married in the Cathedral of Saint George in Springfield. They resided in Palmer, sharing 62 years of marriage. Anthony was employed by Mass Mutual, retiring after 31 years. He served on the Parish Council of Saint George, and was a charter member of the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Luke where he also served on the Parish Council and sang in the choir. Anthony was a long time blood donor donating over 23 gallons of blood. He is survived by his devoted wife Ann; two loving sons Staasi and his wife Theresa; their children Joshua and Emily, whom he adored, of East Longmeadow; John and his husband Richard Crook of Quincy. He leaves his brother George and his wife, Willie of Florida; loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Luke Ahladas and Anita and John Themistos; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Anthony will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Luke, 400 Prospect St., East Longmeadow. Anthony will lie in state from 11:30am until the ceremonies begin at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield. Assisting the family is Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 N.
