It is with great sadness that Anna M. Frederick, 87, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Evergreen Healthcare Center with her family by her side. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Eugene, who predeceased her on February 18, 2004.
Anna was born on December 7, 1935; one of two children, to the late Giuseppe and Rosa (Fracchia) Paioletti. Anna’s greatest joy was family dinners with her grandsons and great grandchild. Anytime Anna could be near her family was a spectacular day. A soccer game, music event, coffee on the porch, a visit with Vinny, and family vacations all put a smile on her face.
After Anna’s husband passed, our beautiful Dad, Anna became the face of Mercy Hospital, greeting patients at the front door of the hospital four days a week. If you walked through the main entrance of Mercy you knew Anna. She loved being around people and hearing their stories.
Anna spent endless hours with her sister towards Adriana’s end of life. She loved bringing comfort to her and cherished being with all of Adriana’s family. Spending days with Adriana allowed them to speak Italian, carrying their proud Italian heritage forward.
The family sends their deep appreciation to the Evergreen Health Care Center in Stafford Connecticut for the endless compassion and care they gave our mom. There are no words to express our gratitude to all of the staff.
She is survived by her loving children Joseph Frederick and his wife Maura, and Sandy Pellegrini and her husband Raymond. She leaves behind her wonderful grandchildren Shaine Frederick and his significant other Joanna Bucior, Benjamin Pellegrini and his wife Kimberly, and Joseph Pellegrini and his fiancé Lauren Mazza. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Vincent Pellegrini affectionately known as “ Vinny” and a beautiful new addition to the family, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Eugene A. Frederick, as well as her sister Adriana Pio.
Her passing was a difficult journey, but she was surrounded by her entire family.
