Anna Ferrentino

Southwick- Anna (Garzillo) Ferrentino, 92, passed away January 5, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Bracigliano, Salerno Italy on February 23, 1927 to the late Pietro and Vincenza (Calabrese) Garzillo. She married the love of her life Montegrino in 1946, and together with their family immigrated to the United States in 1973. She worked at Lido’s Ristorante and at Roma’s Restaurant, her family’s business. Anna was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Her passion was found in spending time with all of her family, whom she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed by her son Victor Ferrentino of Southwick, her daughters Filomena DiBenedetto and her husband Luigi of Longmeadow, Emilia DiBenedetto and her husband Gennaro of Springfield and Annunziata Leone and her husband Antonio of East Longmeadow, 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many cared for nieces, nephews and cousins here and in Italy. In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years Montegrino, her sons Francesco and Alfonso, her brothers Pasquale Grazillo and Giuseppe Grazillo, her sisters Filomena Grazillo and Elena Grazillo, her brother-in-laws Alfonso Ferrentino, Luigi Cardaropoli and Nunzario Esposito, and her sister-in-laws Teresa Ferrentino, Annunziata Ferrentino and Amelia Ferrentino. Services to appreciate Anna’s life will begin on Sunday, January 12, 2020 with visiting hours from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation on 220 N. Main Street in East Longmeadow. Funeral services will be on Monday January 13, 2020 at 8:45am in the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 123 William Street, Springfield.
