Obituary

SPRINGFIELD – Ann Marie Rowe, 69, passed away on June 3, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, MA on November 20, 1952 to the late Armand “Moe” E. and Beatrice M. (Isabelle) Charest, she was raised in Agawam and graduated from Agawam High School in the Class of 1971.

Ann Marie’s devotion in life was living for the Lord. She was an avid Christian and would diligently spread God’s love in all that she did. She had a passion and talent for basket making and most often would donate those baskets out of her loving heart. For all that knew her, knew how much she loved bees in honor of her late mother, Beatrice. She had one of the largest bee collections around.

Her spare time was filled with being a social butterfly. She was known to be quite the shopper! She is remembered by all those who met her during these shopping excursions to be constantly preaching God’s word. Her family will fondly remember her for her heart of gold, spicy personality, no filter, loving nature and generosity.

Besides her parents, Ann Marie was predeceased by her sister Maureen Magnani-Lorraine and her husband Steven Lorraine. She leaves many loved ones behind including her siblings and best friends, sisters, Barbara Biagini, Janice Garvey, and Donna McKay all of Agawam and beloved brother Lawrence “Larry” Charest and wife Linda of Agawam. Ann Marie leaves countless nieces and nephews who treasured so many memories growing up. She also had the privilege to be a great aunt to so many who loved her dearly.

Ann Marie carried several titles: Wife, Meme, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend, and Sister in Christ but her greatest worldly title was Mom.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving husband of 48 years, Daniel T. Rowe “Saint Dan” of Springfield; her beloved son Mark D. Rowe of Wilbraham and his daughter Ava, Laura Duquette and their children Levi and Eliana and her treasured daughter Melissa (Rowe) Solowinski of East Longmeadow and her children Landon and Lyla.
