Ann M. Rahilly

Ann M. (Laferriere) Rahilly, 80, of Feeding Hills, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, August 2, 2021. Born on January 16, 1941 in Springfield, MA, Ann grew up in Chicopee, MA, with her parents, the late Omer and Florence (Lacroix) Laferriere. She was a graduate of Holy Name High School class of 1958 and Hampden College of Pharmacy class of 1962. She was a life-long pharmacist until her retirement from Western Massachusetts Hospital in 2002. Ann loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren who she cherished. She also enjoyed reading, walking, music, shopping, craft fairs, traveling, floating in the pool after work, having a cup of tea, baking her cookies, and chatting. Ann loved spending time with her sisters and friends especially splitting a sandwich for lunch. Her favorite vacation spot was Ogunquit, Maine, walking the Marginal Way. She was a long-time parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and loved volunteering, cooking for Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen, and helping others. Ann was predeceased by her husband Edward of 57 years. She also leaves her son Edward Rahilly II of Feeding Hills, daughter Lori Weyant and her husband John of Feeding Hills, daughter Susan Lubarsky and her husband Steve of Feeding Hills; daughter Cathy Rahilly of Westfield; seven beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Brett, Samantha, Joseph, Dayna, and Sydney; her two sisters, Joan Bajowski of Delaware, and Elaine Morin and her husband Thomas of West Springfield. She will be forever missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as her treasured friends. Ann is also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Theodore Bajowski and her niece, Karen Tafuro. A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Ann will be celebrated at 10AM on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Sacred Heart Church, 1601 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills. Burial will follow in Springfield Street Cemetery, Feeding Hills. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 9 from 4-7PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 985 Main Street, Agawam.
