December 30, 1954 ~ October 24, 2021 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Obituary

Albert Lattell, 66, passed away unexpectedly at home October 24, 2021.  Born December 30, 1954 in Springfield and raised in Springfield’s South End, he was a son to the late Carmino and Corrine “Rena” (Scibelli) Lattell.  He was a graduate of the former Technical High School and went on to further his education obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree from Western New England College. Albert was employed for nearly 40 years in the computer industry, most recently working for Kaman Corp in Bloomfield, CT.  He was an avid Yankees fan and could often be found listening to games on the radio.  Albert was a man of strong faith and was a communicant of Our Lady or Mt. Carmel Church. He enjoyed everything about his Italian heritage, from obtaining his Italian citizenship, learning to speak Italian, cooking his favorite Italian meals or baking Christmas cookies and “pizza gain” on Easter for the family.  Albert possessed a huge heart and unconditional generosity, and this was most apparent to his family, Al’s greatest passion.  His family will forever remember the gatherings where he shared delicious Italian dishes. He will deeply be missed by his brothers Carmin Lattell and his wife, Janice and Anthony Lattell and his companion Bonnie Dias; sisters Corrine Lattell and her companion John Garafolo and Darlene Lattell and her companion Mark Serrenho; nieces and nephews Cara, Valerie, Dylan, Alex, Jonathan, Jessica and Dominic; and numerous other loving relative and friends including his cousin and best friend Diane King. Calling hours for Al will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30th beginning at 8:45AM at the funeral home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10AM, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Springfield. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield.
