Thomas G. Wilson

WILBRAHAM - Thomas George Wilson, born January, 31, 1939, to Thomas R. Wilson & Caroline (Schnur) of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Tom leaves two sisters, Nancy & her late husband, Ronald Schlotman, her two sons, Brian & Matthew, his sister, Kathleen, and her husband, Larry Talbert , their three children Missy, Michael and Amy and their families all of the greater Cinicinnati, Ohio area . He leaves his partner and companion of thirty two years, Marie Greco, of Wilbraham and his four sons, Thomas Jr, his wife Lynn, their children, Mary, Thomas R., Jennifer, and his great granddaughter Emma Rose of East Longmeadow, Michael and his wife, Christine, their sons, Michael and Daniel of Springfield, William and his wife, Susan, of Hampden, their children, Bill and Lauren and Tom's fourth son, Patrick, of East Longmeadow. He is survived by his ex-wife, Margaret (Wakem). Tom started a small Tree & Lawn service named A.B.C. Tree Service to support his growing family, which became Wilson Trucking, and then was incorporated to Wilson Excavating & Paving . Later upon retiring, Tom worked for his son, Thomas, in his business which is now Thomas Wilson Enterprises Inc. Tom was an avid Life Long Member and supporter of the N.R.A. and enjoyed target shooting. He served on the East Longmeadow Planning Board for 14 years, which he always enjoyed and had a great love for the Town of East Longmeadow. After retiring, he restored a 1938 Buick with his friend, the late, Brian O'Conner. Tom enjoyed going to many local car shows where he won First Place many times! One of his favorite car shows was the one sponsored by Maybury Material Handling, held right here in East Longmeadow. His longtime passion was his Suzuki Touring motorcycle and enjoyed many rides with his buddies touring the Smoky Mountains in N.C. He will be missed! Family and friends may gather on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 2-4 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA. Funeral services will be Monday, June 5, 2017 beginning at the funeral home at 10:30 AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Cecilia Parish, Main Street, Wilbraham, MA at 12 Noon. Burial will take place in Woodland Dell Cemetery, Wilbraham, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association, 11250 Waples Mill Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030.
