Mr Richard Stack

EAST LONGMEADOW- Richard “Dick” G. Stack, 76, passed away on March 24, 2017 at Wingate at East Longmeadow. He was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts the son of the late James N. and Miriam (Savage) Stack; but was a resident here over 50 years. Dick honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #293, East Longmeadow. He retired as mechanical engineer from the former Package Machinery Company, East Longmeadow.Dick leaves his wife of 55 years, May E. (Garrett) Stack; a son, and daughter in law, Harley and Kathy Stack of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter and son in law, Lin and Dennis Greenaway of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania; a sister and brother in law, Eleanore and James Inhelder of Plattsburg, New York; five grandchildren, Shauna Stack, Garrett Stack, Daniel Stack, Kyra Greenaway, Ian Greenaway; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St., Springfield, MA 01105. Please visit www.forstiere.com to offer a personal message of condolence.
