Marianne Josephine Hrycay

Marianne J. Hrycay, 70, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Born in Springfield, MA on August 11, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ralph A. and Marie A. (Gullaci) Gamelli. She was a lifelong Springfield resident and graduated from Cathedral High School. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She leaves her children, Christopher Hrycay and his wife Kristen of Hampden, Sean Hrycay and his wife Erin of Hampden, Kimberly Calvanese and her husband Victor of Ludlow, Susan Traniello and her fiancé Kevin Campbell of Wales, and Maribeth Hrycay of Springfield; 7 beloved grandchildren, Anthony and Annamaria Traniello, Gianna and Sophia Hrycay, Christopher Calvanese, and Mary-Elizabeth and Enzo Hrycay; her brother Rev. Vincent Gamelli and his wife Debra of Feeding Hills and their children Aaron and Stephanie Gamelli. Her family will receive friends on Friday, December 8th from 8 to 9 AM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, William St., Springfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield.
