Lola E. Langone

It is with great sadness that the family of Lola E. Langone announces her passing on July 16, 2017 at the age of 96. Lola was born and raised in Springfield, MA where she lived until the tornado on June 1, 2011 destroyed her life-long home on South Branch Parkway when she moved to Cape Cod for the rest of her years. Lola was married to the love her life, Lou Langone, who predeceased her in 1973. She was a travel agent at Penn Travel in Springfield and Wilbraham from 1975-2009 where she developed her passion for travel and traveled the world.
Lola will be lovingly remembered by her family; her son Paul Langone and Barbara Burchfield of Palm Desert, CA; her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Michael Carbone of Brewster, MA; grandchildren Michael Carbone and his fiancé Rebecca Hunter of Jupiter, FL, Karye Griffings Nordsworthy and great-granddaughter Shania Griffings of Balboa, CA; her sisters, Olga Sullivan of Jupiter, FL, and Vera and Ed Waskiewicz of Ludlow, MA; her many loving nieces and nephews; and so many friends from Springfield and Cape Cod, especially her “girls” at Heartful Home Care.
A Memorial Mass will be held at her parish, Holy Cross Church, Springfield, on Friday, August 4th at 11 AM, followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hope Health Hospice, 766 Attucks Way, Hyannis, MA 02601 in her name. The family is so thankful to Hope Health Hospice for their love and kindness to Lola.
