Leontino Daniele

Springfield -  Leontino Daniele passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 25, 2017.  Born in Bracigliano, Providence of Salerno, Italy on March 2, 1933. He was the son of the late Aristide and Giovannina (Capaccio) Daniele, and brother of Rosetta Daniele and Giovanni Daniele.  Before immigrating to the United States, he served in the military and fell in love with the love of his life Michelina Rescigno . In 1968, he immigrated to United States with his wife and children. During his time with us, he worked at Milton Bradley for 35 years and enjoyed the love and company of his wife, four daughters, nine grandchildren, a great grandchild and other family and friends.  Many people would know Leontino by his contagious smile, love of professional wrestling and love of a good meal. Leontino is survived by his wife Michelina (Rescigno) Daniele of 59 years, daugthers; Giovanna Ferrentino, Rosetta and her husband Joseph Piecuch, Edda  and her husband Mario Johnson, Louise and her husband Willliam Deuso, grandchildren; Mario Ferrentino, Frank Ferrentino, Leontino Piecuch, Anna Barroso, Michelina Piecuch, Stephanie Johnson, Jessica Dueso, Michael Johnson, Arianna Dueso and great grandchild; Maximus Valor Piecuch.  He also leaves behind his loving sister Edda Caputo and her husband Nicola Caputo, the owners of Red Rose and many family members and friends. Funeral services will begin at 8:45 AM on Thursday March 30, 2017, from the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, followed by a 10:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial, celebrated in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Springfield. Entombment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum, St. Michael’s Cemetery. The calling hours will take place from 6:00PM -9:00PM on Wednesday March 29, 2017 in the funeral home.
