Kristen Musiak

STAFFORD SPRINGS - Kristen Rose Musiak, 46, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2017. Kristen was born in Holyoke, MA and raised in Springfield, MA where she attended Putnam High School before graduating from the Data Institute in CT. She was employed by New England Eye Care where she worked as an optometry technician. Kristen was an animated and exuberant member of her family and community. She loved music, boating, fishing and camping with family and friends, and she was an amazing cook. She was a lover of animals, especially her dogs Ginger and Bella. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Italian Club in Stafford, CT. Kristen is survived by her sons, Alex Arslanian and Colin Lanagan: her fiancé Patrick Lanagan: her mother and step-father, John and Peggy Slater; a sister, Donna Rinaldi, and brother, Kevin Harper. She will be sadly missed by several young nieces and nephews and was also predeceased by her sister, Diane Harper. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 4-6 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA with a service at 6 PM.
